  • Grace period We can all face unforeseen circumstances. That is why Record Go provides you with a 2-hour grace period to return your vehicle, in reference to the pick-up time stated in the rental agreement. (i.e. If you pick up your vehicle at 3 pm, you may return it at 5 pm without incurring an additional day’s rental and late return fees.)
  • Unlimited mileage Our rates include unlimited mileage. Nevertheless, you must return the vehicle to our airport office before exceeding 2000 kilometres for a safety check.

Your safety is included in the rate.
  • Auto theft insurance A police report has to be lodged within 24 hours of the incident and provided to Record Go.
  • Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) without Excess fee Excess fee is only applicable to groups Q and Q1, which have an excess fee of 700 Euros and groups D5, E2, E5, E7, E9, K1, K2, K3, which have an excess fee of 500 Euros, and group R have an excess fee of 1000 Euros. The Excess fee will be charged to the customer’s credit card upon signing of the rental agreement.

Rental agreement extensions

Once the rental vehicle has been picked up, rental agreement extensions will be confirmed only upon request and will depend on the availability of vehicles.

The customer will have to go back to the airport and sign the rental agreement before it expires. Due to logistic reasons, the extensions will be carried out from 9 am - 1 pm and 3.30 pm - 6.30 pm, Mondays to Fridays at the airport office before the rental agreement expires. Please note that a 20 euro penalization fee will be charged when the extension is carried out during hours not in the aforementioned schedule (this schedule does not apply to our Palma de Majorca office).

Rental agreement extensions will be carried out at the airport office at the local rate. Payment will be made directly at the office.

As an alternative, customers who do not purchase Comfort Plus Cover will be required to leave a deposit of 600 Euros for vehicles B, B1, B2, C, C1, 700 Euros for vehicle D, E and L, 800 Euros for vehicles D1, D2, D5, E1, E2, E9, K1, K2, K3, Q and Q1. This amount will be retained from the customer's credit card and only deducted if damage occurs. The Comfort Plus Cover will not cover for any other type of negligence.

Payment method

Payment is made with a credit card (Visa and MasterCard) when you arrive at the airport. All the other credit cards, such as American Express, will also be accepted provided that the customer purchases Comfort Plus Cover. The holder of the credit card must be present at the time of pick up. We also accept Visa and MasterCard ATM debit cards (except for EC-Karte), provided that the customer purchases Comfort Plus Cover.

You may cancel your reservation and receive a full reimbursement as long as the cancellation request is made at least one hour prior to the pick up time.

If an invoice in the name of a company is required, the customer will have to leave a 600 Euro Excess fee. The rental agreement has to be issued in the name of the company for us to be able to issue the invoice as such. Once the rental agreement is issued, it is not possible to change the invoice data as this is always derived directly from the information stated on the rental agreement.

Fuel policy

Fuel Policy «Easy Return Option» (Full-Used)

You will be provided with the vehicle full of fuel and it is not necessary to refuel it, allowing you to avoid all the hassle and worry of having to find a gas station while on their way to the airport. Furthermore, once they return the vehicle they will not have to wait to have the vehicle fuel level checked as this will be done automatically at our logistics facilities. The unused amounts of fuel left will be reimbursed.

As with the current policy, the full tank of fuel will be charged to the client at pick up.

Do take into account that the amount charged depends on the vehicle model received as well as on the price of fuel in the market on the pick-up date and will include the Handling and Logistics fee of 24 Euros (tax included). In case of upgrade the fuel price will be the one of the model provided.

The amount to reimburse will be calculated based on the amount of fuel left. The unit of measure will be every 1/8 of a tank in the vehicle's gauge. The Handling and Logistics fee is not reimbursable

In case clients decide to return the vehicle full of fuel, as a requisite we will need that they provide us with the receipt of the gas station adjacent to the airport. The Handling and Logistics fee will not be reimbursable in this case either. Should clients not provide us with the receipt, we will reimburse the corresponding amount. Please be aware that in these cases the average to reimburse is approximately 7/8 of a tank.

In the event of vehicle upgrade, the fuel charge will be made for the vehicle provided, not to the one originally booked.

Please, do take into account that if you have chosen our prepay option on our website, the amount paid excludes the fuel charge. The fuel charge will be made directly at our desk when you pick up your vehicle.

  • The customer will have to go back to the airport office to exchange the vehicle before exceeding 2000 kilometres. Otherwise, a 2 Euros/ km penalisation fee will be charged. Customers must return their vehicle with a full tank of fuel or else they will be charged correspondingly.
  • Vehicles must be collected and returned to the same airport office.
  • Vehicles cannot be taken abroad or between islands.
  • We do not offer hotel deliveries.
  • A local address (apartment, condominium, hotel, etc.) must be provided by the customer to pick up the rental vehicle (as requested by law).
  • It is mandatory to present both a driver's license and a photo ID. International customers must also present their passports. All the documents must be in Latin alphabet. All documents in other languages (Arab, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, etc) must be accompanied by a legal translation or an International Driver's license.
  • Customers must be 21 years old and above and in possession of a driver's license valid for at least one year to rent a car.
  • Only the original driver's license will be accepted. Faxed or photocopied versions of a customer’s license will not be accepted.
  • In the event the renter (payer) is not the rental agreement's main driver, he will have to purchase the Comfort Plus Cover.
  • In the event the vehicle category booked is unavailable upon pick up, we will provide a free upgrade.
  • Customers are required to know the PIN number of their credit/ATM debit card if the card uses a chip security technology.
  • Customers can only use one credit/ATM debit card per contract and they must be personal and non-transferable.
Traffic fines

Record Go will charge an administration fee of 30 Euros (Taxes included) to the customer whenever we receive notification of a traffic fine incurred by the customer during his rental period. Record go is obliged by law to provide the authorities with details of any customer who obtains a traffic fine during his rental period.

This fee does not include the fine's payment whatsoever; the customer will have to pay the fine directly to the corresponding Spanish authorities.

Vehicle abandonment

Customers who abandon their vehicles at a location other than the location agreed upon in the rental agreement will be responsible for the costs generated by their breach of contract. The customer will also be charged the daily rental rate and a penalisation fee of 30,76 Euros per day (Taxes included).

Standard vehicle cleaning

The rental price includes a standard vehicle cleaning, yet in the event the vehicle is returned in a state of extreme dirtiness, Record Go will charge an extra cost of 95€ for a special cleaning.

Late return of vehicle

Should the vehicle be returned later than the agreed date stated in the contract, any insurance coverage applicable to the contract will no longer be valid and the customer will be charged a daily late fee of 30,76 Euros (Taxes included). In addition to the daily late fee, the customer will be charged the daily rental price.

Damage/accident administrative fee

Accidents and damage to the vehicles generate extra administrative expenses (handling of documents, accident reports, communication with insurance companies, etc). Therefore, in case of accident/damage to the vehicle, an administration fee of 30 Euros (Taxes included) will apply.

Out of office hours pick up

The airport service is completely free of charge.

Should the pick up take place between 11 pm - 7 am, there will be an extra out of office hours charge of 40 Euros (Taxes included). Please note that this extra charge has not been included in the final price.

Flight number

Please note that providing your flight number is required for pick ups during out of office hours to guarantee the delivery. If you have not provided us with it at the time of making your booking, our representative might not be waiting for you upon your arrival to our offices during out of office hours.
