What to see in Santorini

If you’re planning a trip to Greece, and Santorini is on your list, Record go has a handy list of things to see and do on the island. Whether you’re planning to explore Greece with a rental car from the Athens airport, or you are starting your trip at Thessaloniki airport, renting a car and driving through Greece with the option of “island hopping” is certainly an excellent way to see this Eastern Mediterranean country.

Santorini is one of the islands that make up the Cyclades group of islands in the Aegean Sea. With its striking scenery of rocks and cliffs and Mediterranean beauty, this island is one of the most visited places in Greece.

Things to see and do in Santorini

  • Visit Fira, the capital of Santorini. Wander around the famous narrow streets with blue and white houses, spend some time at a viewpoint overlooking the sea and take a perfect photo of your visit to Greece.
  • Board the Santorini cable car and see the breathtaking views from the top.
  • As well as a wide selection of restaurants, bars, pubs or nightclubs, you’ll find great nightlife all over Santorini.
  • Go to Oia, which alongside Fira is one of Santorini’s must-see places. Oia has the best sunset views on the island. That makes Oia perfect for a romantic getaway.

  • Do a wine tour and go wine tasting in Santorini.

  • If you’re taking your children to Santorini, you’ll find Monolithos is one of the best family beaches.
  • Perissa or Perivolos Beach: a large beach with a great choice of bars and restaurants.
