General terms and conditions
The contractual relationship between the customer and the company Record Go Italia S.r.l. (hereinafter also ‘Record go’), with registered office in Lagundo (BZ), via Josef Weingartner 4 CAP 39022, VAT no. 03191280217, (REA: BZ 239691), in the person of its pro tempore legal representative, is governed by the following documents:
i) The Rental Agreement, containing all the special conditions applicable to the Customer.
ii) The booking confirmation email;
iii) These Rental Terms and Conditions with annexes.

The minimum age is 19.
The minimum age for renting a vehicle with Record go is 19.
If one of the authorised drivers on the rental agreement is 19 or 20 years old, they may only rent from the MBMR, EDMR, CDMR categories, and the junior driver surcharge will be applied to the rental price for each additional driver in this age group. -
Drivers between 21 and 24 years old.
If one of the authorised drivers on the rental agreement is 21 or 24 years of age, they may rent all categories and the junior driver surcharge will be applied to the rental price for each additional driver in this age group.
Record go accepts no liability for accidents or damage to property caused by the rented vehicle if the customer has deliberately provided Record go with incorrect information regarding their identity, address of residence or validity of their driving license.
Driving licenses sent by fax or photocopies will not be accepted.
The customer must be the main focus.
Should the customer fail to provide the documentation and information described below, Record go reserves the right to refuse to hire the vehicle:
The contract holder, and all authorised drivers in the contract, must present a valid national identity document (for EU residents only) or a passport or equivalent document as proof of identity (for non-EU residents).
Documents not written in Latin characters must be accompanied by an official, sworn translation.
Faxed or photocopied documents will not be accepted. Only the original physical document will be accepted.
For the rental of three- and four-wheeled vehicles (cars and scooters), all drivers listed in the contract must have a valid EU driving license type B or a driving license of a country party to international conventions, issued at least one year prior.
For the rental of two-wheeled vehicles (motorbikes), all drivers named in the contract must have a valid EU driving license, issued at least three years prior in the case of category B licenses, and at least one year prior in the case of category A1/A licenses.
If a temporary certificate is presented, if it does not indicate when the driving license was issued, the expired license must be presented to validate it, otherwise it will be understood to be less than one year old and the vehicle cannot be handed over.
Driving licenses issued by non-EU countries or a country not party to international conventions (cars only) must be accompanied by the international driving to be able to collect the vehicle. An international driving license will always be required for the rental of motorbikes with a non-EU license.
Driving licenses not written in Latin characters must be accompanied by the international driving license or must be presented together with its sworn translation.
If the driver has been resident in Italy for more than 6 months, they must show a valid Italian driving license, unless they shows a valid driving license from an EU or Schengen country.
Driving licenses sent by fax or photocopies will not be accepted. Only the original, valid physical driving license will be accepted, provided that its authenticity can be verified by our personnel prior to signing the contract.
Record go assumes no liability for any traffic fines issued to the driver due to the lack of the necessary license(s) to drive a vehicle in Italy. The driver is responsible for consulting and understanding the applicable regulations.
The contract holder and driver must provide Record go with their home address and optionally their temporary local address (flat, villa, hotel, etc.)
The addresses provided for the rental, both permanent and temporary residence, if requested by staff, must be proven and in the absence of proof, this could be grounds for refusal to rent or hand over the vehicle.

The 'fuel tank' and the 'service and refuelling charge' prices are calculated based on the official fuel prices at the time of picking up the rented vehicle. These prices must be consulted regularly, as they are subject to change according to the fluctuation of official prices.
Terms and conditions of the full-full fuel return policy:

At the time of picking up the vehicle, Record go will hand over the vehicle with a full fuel tank and will charge the contract holder for the amount of the fuel in the tank.
The amount charged depends on the model/make of the vehicle received and on the fuel market price on the date of pickup. (Consult table) We add a pop up link about fuel. The contract holder will pay the price of the fuel used.

At the time of returning the vehicle, Record go checks the level of fuel in the tank and refunds the amount corresponding to the amount of fuel in the tank. For the vehicle to be considered as having been returned with a full tank, a receipt from a petrol station located a maximum distance of 10 km from the airport must be shown.
The unit of measurement for the fuel tank will be 1/8 of the vehicle’s total fuel tank.
If the contract holder does not return the vehicle with the tank full, Record go will charge €30 for the refuelling service.

- Current Italian legislation stipulates that all children up to 150 cm tall must wear a safety device in the vehicle, suitable for their weight, and of a type approved in accordance with the regulations laid down by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
- The contract holder and customer is solely responsible for installing the car seat. Under no circumstances does Record go accept any liability for the installation of a child seats in the rented vehicle.
- In the event of breakage, loss or violent or non-violent theft of the seat, the contract holder shall pay an additional €200 as replacement cost.
- Equipment subject to availability. If not booked in advance, these may not be available when collecting the vehicle.

The customer can purchase this extra at the counter to upgrade their vehicle.
In the event of contracting the extra 'Upgrade', if the contract holder has not selected the Total Comfort Cover, Record go will hold the pre-authorisation amount corresponding to the vehicle group to which the contract holder has upgraded and the customer will be liable up to the excess amount corresponding to that vehicle group.

The contract holder has the option of contracting this extra to choose a vehicle model from the models available within the contracted category. Subject to availability.

- Changes to flight/train:
In all other cases, the customer shall pay a fee of € 40.00.
- One way
Under no circumstances may the vehicle be returned to an office other than the one indicated in the contract.
In the event that a vehicle is returned to a different office and the One Way extra was not purchased, or returned to a different office than the one indicated on the contract at the time of purchasing the One Way extra, Record go will charge a penalty (See 4.4 Penalties) .
None of the following covers includes theft, loss or damage to the driver's personal effects.
Basic cover with excess is included in the rental price.
Only drivers expressly authorised by Record go in the rental agreement are covered by the basic cover with excess.
The cover is only valid during the rental period. If the vehicle is returned late, the cover expires.
The Basic cover with excess includes the following:
- Collision and theft cover WITH excess (CDW and TP)
- Partial exemption from liability for collision damage or theft, reducing the contract holder's financial liability for damage to or theft of the rented vehicle.
- In the event of damage to the rented vehicle, the contractual partner shall be liable for payment of the damage generated up to the limit of the deductible corresponding to the rented vehicle group, provided that the driver uses the vehicle in accordance with the terms and conditions of the rental agreement.
- If the contract holder/driver does not follow the procedure established by Record go in the event of damage to the vehicle or theft of the vehicle (see section 3.3 and 3.4) or violates any of the terms or conditions of the rental agreement, the basic cover with excess shall be cancelled and the contract holder shall be liable to pay the total amount of the excess corresponding to the rented vehicle group.

An employee will check the vehicle with the customer at the time of return and their requests will be taken into consideration. You will be sent an evaluation report with detailed costs and how they were calculated, as well as proof of the damages. In the event of a dispute, the Contract Holder may submit their arguments by email to the customer service and complaints department within 14 days. If no agreement on the dispute can be reached, the contract holder may file a complaint with the competent court or consumer protection authority.
Basic roadside assistance
The Roadside Assistance service included in the basic cover provides a 24-hour breakdown service.
This service, which includes towing, recovery and roadside repair, is the customer's responsibility, except in the case of Art. 4.3.4.
Please note that if the customer requests assistance but then decides that it is no longer needed, they must call the Record go service number to cancel the service. If it is not cancelled, they will have to pay the applicable towing service fees to cover the costs incurred by the provider, depending on the distance.

For bookings of vehicle groups PFAC, LTAR, PQAR, XFAR, PFAH, the Total Comfort cover reduces the excess amount, but does not eliminate it.
Only drivers expressly authorised by Record go in the rental agreement are covered by the Total Comfort cover.
The cover is only valid during the rental period. If the vehicle is returned late, the cover expires.
The Total Comfort Cover includes the following:
- Collision Damage Cover WITHOUT Excess (CDW): If the customer follows the procedure laid down by Record go in the event of an accident or mechanical failure (see section 1. Obligations of the contract holder and authorised drivers in connection with the rented vehicle), they shall not be liable for payment of any amount. Damage to tyres (including punctures), rims, mirrors, windscreen, locks and battery are included in the cover.
- Theft cover WITHOUT excess (TP): If the customer follows the procedure laid down by Record go in the event of theft of the rented vehicle (see section 1. Obligations of the contract holder in relation to the vehicle), they will not be required to pay any amount.
- Basic roadside assistance
Cover exceptions. Total Comfort Cover excludes:
- Circumstances in which the loss or damage is caused by a breach or violation of the obligations and terms and conditions set out in this rental agreement (see Section 3.3 and 3.4).
- When the loss or damage is caused by raised or suspended objects, barriers and wheel stops positioned at the wrong height, improper transport of objects both inside and outside the vehicle, natural disasters, catastrophe, armed conflicts or wars, demonstrations, acts of terrorism, acts of sabotage, strikes or restrictions on free movement caused by a change in the atomic structure of the material, or by its thermal or radioactive effects, and others, or by the artificial acceleration of atomic particles or by any other case of force majeure involving the action of any existing official rescue services.
- Loss of the vehicle’s documentation (vehicle registration certificate and copy of third-party motor insurance).
- Loss of vehicle number plates.
- Breakage, violent or non-violent theft of keys or leaving keys inside the vehicle
- Damage to underbody and roofs
- Damage to vehicle interior and loading area
- Damage to the clutch
- Damage to the engine
- Special cleaning
- Incorrect fuelling
- Damage to optional equipment (GoPad, car seats, helmets...)
- Damage to other equipment (rear shelf, spare wheel, aerial, warning triangle, boxes, high visibility vest, etc.).
- Damage to upholstery
- Damage, loss, theft, deterioration of any decals or electronic devices inside the vehicle (E-toll device, DGT, emissions, MELIB, etc.).
In case of AMEX payment, the TCC is mandatory.
An employee will check the vehicle with the customer at the time of return and their requests will be taken into consideration. The contract holder will be sent an evaluation report with detailed costs and how they were calculated, as well as proof of the damages. In the event of a dispute, the Contract Holder may submit their arguments by email to the customer service and complaints department within 14 days. If no agreement on the dispute can be reached, the customer may file a complaint with the competent court or consumer protection authority.

- Incorrect fuelling, provided that the vehicle engine is not damaged. In which case, damage to the engine would not be included.
- Premium Roadside Assistance (car)
The Premium Roadside Assistance included in the Premium Total Comfort Cover offers a 24-hour breakdown service that includes the cost of labour for any repair work that may be carried out at the breakdown site, a replacement vehicle at the nearest Record go office, prior availability, towing service and a rental vehicle for up to 24 hours or a taxi to reach the said office all free of charge.
Exceptions:
- Failure to comply with any of the obligations set out in 1.4
- (in the case of an electric vehicle) Should the vehicle run out of battery for any reason during the rental period, be it due to loss, breakage or theft of the charging cable, Record go accepts no liability for the cost of roadside assistance, or for any damage that may result from this situation, since such events are not covered by any of our insurance policies.
- Should the customer leave the lights on and the battery runs out, Record go will not be liable for the cost of any roadside assistance or damage incurred.
- If the towing service is requested when it is not necessary, or if the garage determines that there has been no breakdown, the cost of this service will be charged.

Roadside assistance cover (RSAC) offers a 24-hour breakdown service that includes the cost of labour for any repair work that may be carried out at the breakdown site, a replacement vehicle at the nearest Record go office, prior availability, towing service and a rental vehicle for up to 24 hours or a taxi to reach the said office all free of charge.
Exceptions:
- Failure to comply with any of the obligations set out in section 3.5.
- In case the vehicle, for any reason, including loss, breakage, theft or robbery of the cable, runs out of charge during the rental period, Record go is not responsible for the cost of the roadside assistance service nor for the damages due to breakdown derived from this situation, as it is an event not covered by any of our coverage.
- In the event that the customer leaves the lights on and runs out of battery, Record go is not responsible for the cost of the roadside assistance service or for the damage caused.
- In the event that the towing service is requested and it is not necessary or the garage determines that there is no breakdown, the cost of this service will be charged.
- Per day: 7,95 €
- Minimum per rental: 15.90 €
- Maximum per rental: 111.30 €

The cover is only valid during the rental period. If the vehicle is returned late, the cover expires.
The Easy Cover includes the following:
- Collision and theft cover WITH excess (CDW and TP)
- Basic roadside assistance
The Roadside Assistance service included in the Easy cover provides a 24-hour breakdown service.
Please note that if the customer requests assistance but then decides that it is no longer needed, they must call the Record go (+34 964 63 15 46) service number to cancel the service. If it is not cancelled, the customer will have to pay the applicable towing service fees to cover the costs incurred by the provider, depending on the distance.

Extraordinary cleaning constitutes any cleaning that requires more exhaustive action and excludes the vehicle from the normal cleaning routine.

An employee will check the vehicle with the customer at the time of return and their requests will be taken into consideration. The Contract Holder will be sent a report and details of the costs, as well as photos and evidence of the uncleanliness of the vehicle. In the event of a dispute, the Contract Holder may submit their arguments by email to the customer service and complaints department within 14 days. If no agreement on the dispute can be reached, the contract holder may file a complaint with the competent court or consumer protection authority.
- Charge for smoking inside the vehicle
An employee will check the vehicle with the contract holder at the time of return and their requests will be taken into consideration. If you disagree with the resolution, you may have recourse to consumer arbitration, to whom the parties refer to resolve such conflicts.
- Charge for driving outside the territory authorised by Record go 'Crossing borders'
- Charge for unauthorised one-way rentals
- Charge for late return of vehicle
However, this grace period must be requested and added to the contract at the time of signing the contract, when the return time is chosen.
Record go's rental fees are calculated on the basis of 24-hour periods from the beginning of the rental period.
Should the contract holder or the driver fail to return the rented vehicle at the agreed drop-off point and at the time specified in the rental agreement, the contract cover shall be invalidated and the contract holder shall be liable to pay compensation for any damage caused to the rented vehicle and for all costs incurred, up to the amount of the total deductible, and Record go shall apply a penalty of €40 plus the costs incurred in recovering the vehicle, ranging from a minimum of €300 in the event that it is reported after 24 hours.
In addition to the above, the contract holder shall also be liable for payment of the daily rental rate in effect at that time (1), including charges for contracted options for each day of delay in returning the vehicle.
Likewise, if Record go takes longer than 60 minutes from signing the rental agreement to delivering the vehicle, the customer will be reimbursed the same amount of € 40.

- Charge for abandonment of rented vehicle
This penalty will also be applied to the Meet&Greet supplement under the terms set out in Section 4.2.3.
- Charge for returning the rented vehicle to a public car park at the collection office
If the rented vehicle is not retrieved on the same day as the return date agreed upon in the rental agreement, Record go shall apply the penalty corresponding to the late return of the vehicle, and in addition, the contract holder shall be liable for payment of the cost of retrieving the vehicle and subject to payment of the rental fee for each day of delayed delivery beyond the due date.
- Charge for parking the rented vehicle in Record go car parks during the rental period
- Fine management and administration fee (this does not include the amount of the fine)
This fee does not include the payment of the fine. The contract holder will be solely responsible for paying the fine directly to the competent authorities.
- Administrative fee for the accident management, damage control and advisory service
Record go will process accident claims, notify the driver of the appropriate action to be taken, and offer advice in the event of injury and/or if a summons is received. Record go will charge the contract holder € 50 as an accident processing fee for this accident management, damage control and advice service.
If the contract holder has purchased Total Comfort Cover or Premium Total Comfort Cover, Record go will not charge any additional amount for this service.
The above penalties are detailed and communicated to the customer during the booking process, highlighting key information, so that the information can be considered accepted.
An employee will check the vehicle with the customer at the time of return and their requests will be taken into consideration. The contract holder will be informed of any applicable sanctions as indicated above. A report and details of costs, photos and necessary supporting documentation will be sent to the contract holder. In the event of a dispute, the contract holder may submit their arguments by email to the customer service and complaints department within 14 days. If no agreement on the dispute can be reached, the contract holder may file a complaint with the competent court or consumer protection authority.
By signing the rental agreement and collecting the vehicle, the renter undertakes to pay without right of withdrawal.
By signing the rental agreement, the contract holder expressly authorises Record go to use the bank card provided at the time of booking for the following purposes:
- Payment for vehicle rental with all options selected: extras, additional cover and fuel tank (See table)
- To hold the security deposit corresponding to the rented vehicle group. This amount will not be available for use until it is released.
- To hold the deposit for the rental of two and three-wheel vehicles (motorbikes) and vans.
- To hold the deposit for bookings of special groups and if a debit card is used.
Record go is not liable for any fees charged by the contract holder's bank for the return of the security deposit amount.
- Where applicable, to charge for any expenses arising from changes made to the vehicle during the rental period (damage, documentation, missing accessories, cleanliness) and for the breach of any of the obligations and/or terms and conditions set out in this rental agreement.
- Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards (except prepaid cards)
- EC-Karte and UnionPay cards (except prepaid cards)
- American Express Cards (provided the contract holder has taken out our Total Comfort cover)
Exceptions:
For PFAH, PFAC, LTAR, PDAH, PFAR, XFAR and PQAR reservations, payment must be by credit card only.
- Pre-payment cards and Revolut cards (any kind) are not accepted.
- We do not accept payment by smartphone, smartwatch or any other similar device, virtual cards, nor do we accept payment by cheque or bank transfer.
- The holder of the credit card used for payment of the rental must be the contract holder and must be present when the payment is made.
- Only one bank card may be used per contract and the card must be non-transferable. For special groups (PFAH, PFAC, LTAR, PDAH, PFAR, XFAR and PQAR), two credit cards may be required.
- The payer is required to know the PIN number of their credit card if they pay that has a PIN.
- The payer must ensure that the bank card has sufficient funds at the time of collection of the vehicle to pay for the rental with all selected options and to hold the amount of the security deposit corresponding to the rented vehicle group.
Credit and debit cards without numbers must be in the name of the cardholder and the card numbers and expiry date must be provided when signing the contract.
Upon collection of the vehicle and payment of the rental, Record go will debit the contract holder's credit card with the rental price to be paid at the counter plus any selected extras and hold the amount of the security deposit corresponding to the type of rented vehicle.
The pre-authorisation amount (security deposit) will not be usable until it is released. Record go shall not be liable for any fees charged by the tenant's bank for the reimbursement of the pre-authorisation.
The pre-authorisation amount is the price of the excess that is held on the contract holder's bank card upon collection of the rental if the Total Comfort cover has not been purchased.

Using DCC, we give you the option to make payments in any currency through an automatic currency exchange service. This service is available both on our website (www.recordrentacar.com) and at our branches.
DCC is a financial service offered by our bank that notifies you immediately of the amount in the corresponding currency, applying the current exchange rate plus a very competitive conversion fee, and it replaces the currency conversion usually carried out by your credit card company.
If a customer requests the foreign currency payment service (DCC), the rental fees will be displayed in euros in the 'Payment' section of the rental agreement, together with information on the exchange rate of the selected currency and the conversion fee.
